To honor the legendary Malayalam writer Vaikom Muhammad Basheer, M.E.T. English Medium Higher Secondary School celebrated Basheer Dinam on July 5 .High school students participated in an interactive documentary-making competition focused on the author’s adventurous life and travels. Meanwhile, the highlight of the day was a delightful Prachanna Vesham (Fancy Dress Show)for LP section , where primary students brought the stage to life dressed as Basheer himself—complete with his signature lungi and walking stick—and iconic characters like Pathumma, Sainaba, and Majid. The celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, successfully fostering a deeper love for Malayalam literature and cultural heritage among the young minds.
